I bet it takes a long time, though.  I remember looking at origami books and finding large projects where you had a simple pattern repeated a bazillion times.

This project could take me 4-6 hours to make. I have a new project being released this weekend that took me a week on and off. But I have been doing this for about four years now.

Oh, lol. I did do 1017 cranes... Yeah, there are a lot of easy projects. But 3D Origami is a bit more time consuming because of all the pieces. It's easy to go pass 100 pieces fast.
